My Hong Kong visit in 2019
Top things to do in Hong Kong in 2019
It depends entirely on your tourism preference and desires so
I will give you the choice of Top things to do in Hong Kong in 2019.
Hong Kong is a small urban-state with many travel options within a short
distance. Even if you do not have much time, you can still see some of the
various attractions here.
Best Times to Visit Hong Kong
The best time to visit Hong Kong is from October
to early December, when the weather is sunny, cool, and pleasant.
Hong Kong attractive spots
Sunset from Victoria Peak - ride in the legacy tram
Victoria Peak is one of the most popular attractive spots in
Hong Kong. I took a bus from the Star Ferry terminal and reached Victoria Peak.
On my way back, I took the Victoria Peak Tram which takes me to the bottom of
the hill in a few moments in its old coach. Both rides were very exciting. That
is why I suggest that while traveling to Victoria Peak, you must ride the bus
on one side and the Victoria Peak tram on the other side.
After climbing Victoria Peak, walk around the hill. If you
believe me, then you go around the sunset on this hill. In this way, you will
be able to see the port in daylight, at sunset, and after sunset, under all three
conditions. All three scenes are different, but also very beautiful in their
own way. Remember, Victoria Peak is often notorious for being covered in mist.
So before going there, take knowledge of the weather and pray that you get to
see the sunset in the clear sky.
Victoria Port - Star Ferry ride
Star Ferry is a common ferry used by local residents for
daily transportation between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Island. Hong Kong
Island and Kowloon Island are the two main tracts of Hong Kong. In addition to
the ferry between these two terrains, there are two other transport facilities,
Metro Rail and Road Bridge.
If your stay is in Hong Kong Island, take the ferry around
Kowloon Island around sunset. See the symphony of lights, a game of lights
which is held every evening and come back. Your mind will blossom after seeing
the colorful lights of the sparkling Hong Kong Island and the stark movements
of its rays above the water. If you are staying in Kowloon Island then you can
take any ferry to visit Hong Kong Island.
Symphony of lights
Symphony of Lights is a 10 minute light and sound
performance. On the Hong Kong island horizon, the performance is held at around
4 pm each day. It may not be one of the best light and sound displays you've
seen in other places. Still, I can say, it is so exciting that you can
definitely include it in the list of experiences worth seeing in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Museum
Museum viewing is one of my favorite tourist experiences.
Despite wanting, I could not visit all the museums in Hong Kong that I had
placed on my list. It is said that the more you want to watch, the more time
you are lacking. I visited the Hong Kong History Museum in detail on the first
day of my Hong Kong trip. This gave me a good understanding of the history of
Hong Kong. The journey from an infamous Hong Kong to present-day Hong Kong
helped to learn from many perspectives. This is the best-preserved and
preserved museum where you can do many things like printing copies of
literature and buying souvenirs based on Chinese symbols.
Touring the main border areas of Hong Kong
visit
at Wan Chai
Wan Chai, located on the northern coast of Hong Kong Island,
is one of the oldest regions of Hong Kong. Van Chai Virasati Padmaram is
performed here in the area around an ancient temple. Walking in it seems as if
we are observing the entire history of the island. Information boards from
place to place help you in this journey. I have also written a detailed memoir
on this footprint, which will be very helpful for you to undertake this post.
The Notorious Old Town of Kowloon
Kowloon was an ancient city surrounded by reefs, which was
once a stronghold of the Chinese army. It was notorious as the most densely
populated area of this
earth. After its metamorphosis, it is currently a beautiful historical garden.
In a sense, it is a living monument to the black history of Hong Kong Island.
Heritage Village's visit to Stanley
Stanley village in the corner of Hong Kong which despite
being here has a very different identity. It is surrounded by hills and ocean-like Hong Kong, but there are no tall buildings like the rest of the city,
there are no crowded areas like Hong Kong. There is a small market here which
is infused with the creative energy of modern artists as well as traditional
artists. The more I enjoyed running in this market, the more pleasure I got in
reaching Stanley village.
Hollywood street crossings
This post-tour is done in a high-level Hollywood street on
Hong Kong Island. One of the most popular temples here is also dedicated to the
God of literature. I loved the small cafes here. While visiting the post I also
saw many works of art which I found very pleasing.
Walk to the gardens
Hong Kong is a group of islands surrounded by sea. Due to the lack of terrain, civilization is confined to skyscrapers. Despite this, there
are many gardens here. I visited many gardens here, especially in the morning.
Some of the famous gardens are Victoria Peak Garden, Nan Lien Garden, Kowloon
City Garden surrounded by reefs, Sang Wong Toi Bagh, Sha Tin Bagh, Wan Chai
Bagh etc.
Some fun experiences in Hong Kong
Ocean Park
You will need at least one full day to visit Ocean Park.
Ocean Park is one of the best attractions in Hong Kong if you come here to
visit with children. I had come alone to roam and anyway I am not particularly
interested in amusement parks. Even after this, I enjoyed a full day in this
Ocean Park.
I enjoyed the rides I enjoyed so much. Those who did not
take the rides enjoyed watching them. Sitting near the penguins in the water
and eating food is their own adventure. It was exciting to go up and down on
the rail, roam the streets of rejuvenated ancient Hong Kong, and see the
life of the smallest fish in the aquarium of many levels. It was a unique
experience to see an animal named Panda ascending and wandering on a bamboo
tree, watching the sealing float here and there in the water and performing
tricks. I enjoyed the experience of going to the South Pole and playing with
the Penguins in the blood-soaked winter I got here at Ocean Park.
There are so many experiences around this Ocean Park for
tourists that your inner child wakes up. You will want to join all the
experiences. This is the best way to get rid of mental stresses. This is why we
go on holidays only, do we not?
Disneyland
Like Ocean Park, Disneyland is another means of relieving
mental stress. I was told that it would be appropriate to stay one night there
to truly enjoy Disneyland, as Disneyland is some distance from the main city. I
could not go there due to lack of time. In my next journey, I will definitely
try to go there.
A memento of hong kong
Shopping is also one of the best reasons for tourists in Hong Kong. Through the photographs in Hong Kong, you must have understood
that there are only big, flamboyant malls in the area. So let me tell you,
going to the small shops situated in the streets here is one of the major
attractions of this trip for me to do shopping. Take a look at these streets
once. I believe you will be convinced of these shops.
Mid-level-escalator
Believe it or not, this escalator connects different parts
of densely populated Hong Kong on the slope of the hill with which you can move
anywhere in the city. These are a type of flat and vertically moving stairs to
cross the distance and high-rise land of this city. Some of these take you up
and down and some can be overcome. I do not remember, there will be another
city where there are such moving stairs which the public can use in general. You
must enjoy it. You might not find it in other tourist destinations.
Tram
ride
Few cities in the world have an active tram network. The
tram is a slow-moving vehicle. The tram is fading somewhere in the run-up to
the present day fast life. However, in Hong Kong, colorful trams will
still be seen moving from here to there. Yes, it takes time to reach the
appointed place due to slow walking, yet you must ride it to reach a place of
short distance. You will get a different Hong Kong experience.
Taste
local dishes
Hong Kong being an international city, all kinds of cuisines
are available in Hong Kong. Think of the expenses, from the cheap local cuisine
available in the streets here to the expensive hotels serving the delicacies. I
am a vegetarian I enjoyed eating dimsum at a hotel receiving a Michelin star.
If you are thinking that the hotel which has got the Mishlin Star will
definitely be valuable. No! It was best for both my pocket and my stomach. I
enjoyed eating there too.
You can also taste cold milk tea here. It is called Nai Cha.
It is available in most places. You can also roam around drinking it with your
hands.
