What is Darjeeling most famous for and how to reach Darjeeling?
Darjeeling is situated at the state of West Bengal. Darjeeling is known for its tea industry. its
pleasures are more beautiful and savory than the way to reach them. A toy train car on the short line of the
Himalayan Railway, is an old and favorite
way of tourists from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling. By the way, you can also
be reached by taxi from New Jalpaiguri by Darjeeling road, but if you are going
to enjoy the beautiful views of nature, then definitely enjoy this trip once.
UNESCO has given the status of World
Heritage to this Himalayan rail, which is run on a narrow two gauge.
Running from the New Jalpaiguri, a city called the Gate of the Himalayas, this train runs along the road almost
equal to the road playing the eye michouli, and often disappears into the
jungle by stealth. Passing through the tea gardens, this train takes you so
close to nature that you forget everything and become a part of that beauty.
With so many loops and track changes, this train slowly
reaches Darjeeling in 6-7 hours like a hill aged, joining the hill villages and
towns. The stations on this route also provide a reminder of the British era. The railway station - Ghoom is considered at the highest level in India @ 7407 feet. During this unforgettable journey of Toy Train, you reach another round.
Where life is not as painful as it is today. There is a rhythm in everything,
life is in harmony with nature, which settles in these hill villages, and
blossoms like flowers.
Most
beautiful places in Darjeeling
After an unforgettable journey by Toy Train, you reach
Darjeeling by evening. The most Overcrowded place in Darjeeling is Chaurasta.
You can also call it the heart of
Darjeeling. It is that part of the Nehru Marg where the ground is flat and
big square. Where people sit and sunbathe and admire the snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas. This place is also the center of cultural activities, there is also
a high platform where there is always something going on.
There are many cafes
and hotels around here. Heritage shops built around the Chaurasta will remind
you of the British Colonial era.
These shops adorned with wood carvings still hold that old charm. Walking down
Nehru Road a little from here, the entire market is decorated. There are also
some famous restaurants. Such as the Terris
Restaurant Coventer and the British-era
bakery - Glenneries. Enjoy a hot sandwich with the smell of Darjeeling tea on the small but
beautiful terrace of the cave. From here, the beautiful pictures of Darjeeling
scattered in the layers of the mountains look very beautiful.

Now go to see Sunrise on Tiger Hill. The taxi will arrive to
pick you at your hotel very early in the morning. Tiger Hill is 11 km from
Darjeeling Town. It is the tallest hill in the Darjeeling hills. Watching the
sunrise from here is a wonderful experience. The peaks of the eastern part of
the Himalayas are visible from Tiger Hill. And if the weather is clear then
Mount Everest can also be seen. When the sun rises on Tiger Hill, a few seconds
before that, the snow-capped peaks of Kanchenjunga are covered with vermilion
redness. Such a beautiful view of nature enchants everyone.
From Tiger Hill, Mount Everest is seen directly in front,
which is believed to be about 107 miles. A covered shelter building has also
been constructed on Tiger Hill for the convenience
of tourists and for protection from winter. But most of the people prefer to be witness to this amazing sight by
staying in the cold winter under the open sky. On return from Tiger Hill,
this taxi will show you Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, Maag Dhog Yolmova
Monastery.

A little ahead of the Ghoom Monastry, the Batasia Loop falls
on the top of the mountain on the right-hand side. It is a roundabout on which
a toy train passes. The story of how this place was named Batasia Loop is also
very interesting. Betashe made from sugar is round and this loop is also round,
hence its name was Batasia Loop. A martyr's memorial is built in the middle of
this loop. A jawan's statue has also been installed here in memory of the
soldiers who died in the 1947 freedom struggle. There is also a great movement
